Ascending Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains yesterday was a plodding affair, with Dixie admirably winding up, up, up until we reached the sky. I didn't think Nature's 360 degree art exhibit of the vast valley below could possibly touch me more, until I remembered I wear glasses now. Slipping them on allowed me to study the fine lines of the timeless topography, bathed in colors I cannot aptly describe. The descent that followed was a test of whether Dixie's mechanic was right about her having good brakes. He was.
